The southern end of the Ankarana Massif from the air.  This jagged mass of weathered limestone is one of at least six areas where this kind of ancient undersea formation appears on the surface in Madagascar.  This one has been eroding under millions of years of rains that have washed out a virtual labyrinth of winding, interconnected caves beneath it.  The wildlife under, in, and around it are spectacular!  A visit to Madagascar is incomplete without exploring Ankarana.
